Stages of eyelid lift

The operation begins with anesthesia: To ensure the patient’s comfort and no pain during the operation, the patient is sedated either locally or generally, and the doctor usually chooses the best anesthesia method for the patient. The doctor then performs the surgical incision: in general, the incision lines are planned so that the scars can be hidden within the natural wrinkle structures of the eye. The incision is then closed: the incision is closed through stitches or a skin adhesive, to be removed after one week.

After the eyelid lift

Clean the eyelids nicely with the eye drop and ointments prescribed by your doctor.

Use ice compresses on the eyes for 10 minutes per hour immediately after the operation, and the next day, they are used four to five times during the day.

Avoid stress or carrying heavy objects, which may delay the healing process, for a whole week after the operation.

Avoid strenuous exercise, for at least a week after the operation.

stop smoking.

Avoid scratching the eyes.

Do not use eye lenses for at least two weeks after the operation.

Wear black glasses to protect the eyelid area from sunlight and wind.

Sleep with your head raised more than the chest area, for a few days after the operation.
